I love Register Rewards
Let me tell you why!

This cutie has been shopping at Walgreen's' for a little while and I have saved so much money and created a cute little stockpile!

What are Register Rewards ?(also known as RRs)
RRs are coupons from the Catalina/ coupon machine that print after you make a purchase that qualifies. (don't know which ones qualify? I'll help you, and check your Walgreens weekly paper. Most RRs are "On Your Next Order" (OYNO) which can be used like cash on your next order. (Sometimes you may receive a Catalina for $ off a particular item or an advertisement for an rr deal.) It is important to note that you CANNOT USE THE REGISTER REWARD YOU GOT FROM PURCHASING ONE PRODUCT TO BUY THAT SAME KIND OF PRODUCT. DOING THAT WILL STOP YOUR RR COUPON FROM PRINTING AT THE END OF YOUR PURCHASE. I keep them all seperate. For example, One week I will buy shaving cream and get rrs, the next week i will use those rr to buy a differnt product. This is called ROLLIng your register rewards.

Where are the RRS?

the weekly sales paper will tell you what products to but to get the RRs
I will be posting weekly deals to get you started.

If you complete more than one register rewards deal in one transaction, one reward for each different RR deal should print. but you will not receive more than one RR for the same deal.
for example if youwant to buy the shaving cream and get RRs, you should only buy 1 shaving cream at a time. you will only get 1 register reward per qualifying product in each trans.
(If you buy 2 shaving creams in one trans you will only get 1 rr)

What do I do with the RR?
generally, you can use your RR like cash on your next purchase.
Most RRs (just like ECBs) explicitly say that they can not be used on tobacco, alcohol, tax, lottery tickets, money orders, stamps, dairy, or any gift cards or pre-paid cards. however, some stores still allow RR's to be used on some of these items, so ymmv. (your manager may vary)

The RR's also say in the small print that you cannot use more RRs and coupons than number of items you are buying. so as long as you are buying as many items as you have rr & coupons, you should be able to use more than one rr.

You cannot "roll" RR's into the same deal. for example, if you use an RR from dove to purchase more dove items, you will NOT get another RR. the best way to "roll" is to use your dove RR to complete another rr deal. You can then use the RRs from the 2nd deal, to purchase more dove.

RR issues
You can always talk to the manager
always always check your register rewards and receipt to make sure that you are getting what you are supposed to.
if you purchased the right items and didn't get RR, you can return the items on the spot or call the Catalina company @ 888-322-3814. have your receipt in front of you!

New to CVS? Consider this blog your cliff notes!

As I said in a previous Blog, if you do not have a CVS card NOW IS THE TIME!

1.First things first......get your CVS Card
You can get one at your local CVS
You can also apply online here
You will need this card each time you purchase something at CVS in order to take advantage of the "deals"
After you have received your card you are ready to start using it. Every time you go into a CVS store the associate will ask you if you have a card. Even if you are not buying anything that is on sale with the card go ahead and give the clerk your card to scan. On most items you buy you will receive 2% back on your card. You also can earn one dollar for every two prescriptions you fill!

2.Start Earning those EBC's Baby!
ECB are earned through promotions, such as “Buy such and such, receive ____amount of money back in ECB's" These promotions in the weekly papers, and Monthly ECB catalog.
The ECBs print at the end of your receipt - clip them and keep them as carefully as you would cash. I usually keep my ECB's paper clipped to the card that generated them. This method will help if you and your partner /spouse/roomie both have an Extra Care Card.

I will help you figure out what is the best deal and before you know it you will be a Pro and figuring it out all on your own!

Things you need to know about EBCs

The required amount to receive the ECB is calculated before coupons. You do not have to buy all the products for that particular promotion in the same transaction or at the same store, however I usually do, ding this helps me keep up with just how much I am actually spending ECB coupons can be used to buy anything in the store. except alcohol, tobacco,prescriptions and Gift Cards) You cannot get change back when you spend your ECB's.
ECB coupons expire 4 weeks from the date they are printed. Keep an eye on them and make sure that you don't let them expire before using them! They are equivalent to cash at your CVS store!

CVS Coupon Policy

CVS accepts manufacturer's coupons, including IP Coupons. (remember IP stands for Internet Printable)
CVS also issues their own store-specific coupons. you can get these by email or printed out at the end of your receipt. (Cash register tape)
Both ECB and CRT (cash register tape) coupons are linked to your CVS account, which means you cannot use them without the CVS card that generated them to begin with.
The CVS coupon policy allows for the use of 1 manufacturer and 1 CVS coupon on the same item.

My Laundry Detergent Recipe

Just because its a recipe doesn't mean you should eat it!

2 cups bar Soap (I used Ivory because of the little Queen Bees sensitive skin. finely grated, just used my little cheese grater for this)
1 cup Washing Soda
1 cup Borax

• Mix well and store in an airtight plastic container.
• Use 2 tablespoons per full load.

Washing soda is only found in these parts at Harris Teeter, but you can find the other ingredients at your local supermarket or Wal-mart.

This will average out to be about 3 cents per load!
Sure beats what I was paying.
If you are worried that your clothes won't smell April Fresh.... you can always add some essential oils to the wash, or use some scented fabric sheets.

These are coupons that come in your Food Lion Shoppers’ Companion weekly emails every Wednesday when you sign up here



* These coupons can only be printed *once* per computer, but the print limit can be increased in the “print” box BEFORE you print. Remember to print as many as you think you will need, as you cannot come back to print again!

* Each FLIP can only be used once per transaction, but you may use multiple FLIPs in that transaction. Most Food Lions allow customers to do multiple transactions.

* Sometimes there are different versions of similar coupons. We try to keep the first post of the FLIPs thread updated with all of the current versions of these coupons for everyone to print. Just post a link to your coupons in the FLIPs thread and we’ll keep it updated
